Bert De Corte (1915–2009), Flemish poet, was by profession a civil servant at the Ministry of Culture. He made his debut in 1937 with *Germinal*, received the August Beernaert Prize in 1944, and the Triennial State Prize for Poetry in 1946. Until 1995, he published a poetry collection approximately every year, such as *Een stillere dag*, *Aards gebedenboek*, and *Kruis of munt*. He wrote his autobiography in 1971 ( *Kortlijk *). He also translated works by the French poets Baudelaire and Villon, among others. In 1988, he received the Sabam Prize for his entire oeuvre. ( Wikipedia )
Johan Hendrik van Eikeren (1900-1969) was an Amsterdam typographer. He was employed by CGA Corvey Papiergroothandel for forty years. From 1936, he was responsible for the typography of the series "Het model voor den uitgever". After August 1947, "den" became "de", although this was not done entirely consistently. After 1964, the series was given the name: The Corvey Model for the publisher . In addition, he was involved in many Christmas issues of Grafisch Nederland and wrote articles for many graphic trade journals. He organized many exhibitions of draughtsmen and illustrators in the showrooms of paper wholesaler Corvey on the Keizersgracht. ( Wikipedia )
