Tony Georges-Roux (1894-1928), born in Fontenay-sous-Bois on July 3, 1894, trained under François Flameng and Jean-Paul Laurens. A specialist in watercolors, he created images of Versailles, two of which were published by L'Illustration in its July 2, 1921 issue, to illustrate Léandre Vaillat's article, "The Faces of Versailles."
