Emilio Grau Sala (1911–1975) was a Catalan painter. He was born in Barcelona in 1911 and studied at the Barcelona School of Fine Arts. He arrived in France in 1932. A remarkable colorist (oil and watercolor paintings, pastels) and illustrator, he was a member of Maurice Boitel's group at the Salon Comparaisons. Grau Sala illustrated several books (Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du mal, Gustave Flaubert's Madame Bovary, Guy de Maupassant's Bel-Ami, and Marcel Proust's In Search of Lost Time) and created lithographs, engravings, and posters.
