Antoine Louis Manceaux (1862–1939), a painter, was born in Calvi, Corsica. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and later taught drawing in Beauvais. Besides Les Fleurs du Mal , he illustrated Petronius's Satyricon (19..?), Restif de La Bretonne's La Morte Vivante (1921), Lucian's Anarchis ou Des Exercices du Corps (1927), and Lamartine's Méditations poétiques (1929).
