Claude Serré (1938-1998) was a French cartoonist. After academic studies, he trained as a stained-glass artist for eight years, creating numerous stained-glass windows. He then turned to cartooning and became an illustrator for many French magazines. He also began illustrating books, which established him as a great artist, as they were sometimes distributed exclusively in many countries, such as Japan and Germany. He participated in numerous exhibitions, including those in Berlin in 1964 and Paris in 1967, and continued to illustrate books. He died at the age of 60 following a traffic accident. Claude Serré is known worldwide for his cartoons. However, he also produced remarkable works in the field of lithography, a medium he particularly loved. ( Wikipedia )
