Pierre-Yves Trémois , born January 8, 1921, in Paris, is a French draftsman, painter, engraver, and sculptor. He studied at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He won the Grand Prix de Rome for painting in 1941. He illustrated the works of an impressive number of authors, including Claudel, Jouhandeau, Jean de La Fontaine, Jean Rostand, Ovid, Giono, Verlaine, Nietzsche, and Baudelaire.
